JewishGen: The Home of Jewish Genealogy
Created to assist those researching their Jewish ancestry and based on the concept of free sharing of information, JewishGen is staffed primarily by volunteers. It is now an affiliate of the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust. "The largest collection of family history records on the web." Avotaynu International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies We are members of this independent non-profit umbrella organization of the more than 75 national and local Jewish genealogical societies around the world. The IAJGS website includes current and past issues of their newsletter. David Cooper of the Cleveland JGS translated this list of more than 2,800 Dachau "residents" and the possessions removed from them. Developed by a CJGS member, this is the only website dedicated to Cleveland's Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver (1893-1963). |
